locations. Thanks to cloud technology—and
the unlikely leadership of midtier carriers—
costly infrastructure and expensive updates
could someday be a thing of the past.

And now seems like the right time for
many insurance carriers. As the cloud and
infrastructure lead for Deloitte Consulting,
Ranjit Bawa sees more companies showing
an interest in the cloud. Most companies are
starting with new workloads as opposed to
core platforms, but Bawa feels they certainly
are looking at more applications.
